So many people have reached out to me lately and the constant theme is the huge monkey wrench that was thrown into everyone’s life. The pandemic has had a negative effect on each and every one.
I can easily relate as my business was thrown into a whirlwind of non-stop nonsense with rules and regulations that offer no real help or solutions. My stress levels went through the roof and I was senselessly eating my emotions and fears. Like most people, this just caused more unhappiness and put an extra layer of stress and worry on my already full pile of stress.
A few weeks after turning 44, I called my own bull shit and kicked myself in the proverbial ass! I knew it fell upon me to take responsibility for my own actions and that I could only control myself, and how I choose to react or not react to each and every stressful event. I took control of “MY LIFE” and it felt empowering.
I changed my nutrition and went from 235 lbs at 19% body fat to 212 lbs and under 10% body fat in less than 90 days. I didn’t do anything rash or crazy, I just ate 6-7 meals a day with protein being the main focus and then complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. I am sure my nutrition wasn’t eye-catching or on the next big cooking show, but it was simple, easy to follow, and most importantly it was effective.
Now back to the people that have been contacting me regarding personal training and coaching. They each have similar stories of how COVID has made dramatic changes to their lives and for the most part, they are not good changes at all. In addition to developing poor eating habits and lack of movement, many people lost their jobs or business, and worse yet they lost loved ones to this pandemic with no relief in sight.
People currently get out less, move less, and generally eat more. This additional food usually isn’t a plate full of lean protein and green veggies, but lots of comfort food and junk food. And that’s ok, impending doom tends to have that effect. But as it turns out, the world is not ending, and now it’s time to get back on track before you get too far off – or simply on track even if you’ve never been disciplined at eating well and exercising.
As I contemplated how I could help the most people that included not just my local community but also regional, national, and even global communities, I came up with the Pandemic Redemption! I want to put people back in control of their lives, and give them the tools and guidance to get a jump start on reclaiming their control and making positive changes to move forward!
The program includes 12 weeks of semi-private personal training with your choice of either 3 or 4 sessions a week, and an all-encompassing nutritional program with weekly check-ins, blood work evaluations to look at hormones levels, and address anything that is out of range or close to the edges to help get your body functioning and feeling better again. I will go over, in-depth, the importance of sleep, nutrition, hydration, stress, sunlight, walking, and other positive factors to help educate each participant on the importance of these things and how they affect your overall health and wellness.

Remember, though we can not always control the circumstances, we CAN control our reactions to them. Eating healthy and working out are two ways for you to gain control of your health and well-being. The better you feel, the less clouded your reactions and judgments will be.
